Education at the price of mental freedom

What colleges have you attended?

I know the title is a bit dramatic😂

It’s honestly not that deep

At least NOW it isn’t.

I went to Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti Ekiti State Nigeria.

I loved it, but I didn’t love what i was doing there.

I was studying Pharmacology. Which i only chose because Pharmacy wasn’t on the Jamb portal for the school. And I only wanted to pick Pharmacy in the first place to defy my Uncle.

And I only wanted to defy my Uncle because he had somehow convinced my mother that I was to study Medicine and helped her force me into science class.

So it’s not like uni was horrible; I was the course rep, top my class – not because I wanted it, but because it was easy, and that was the situation I had found myself.

Left for me; I don’t know where I would be today- Dancing in a Ballet recital or perhaps Displaying artwork at a gallery. But definitely not where I  am today.
